Financial assistance is available to Minority Vets members through our P2P program in King County, WA and our Chapter Programs in Atlanta, GA and Richmond, VA. Applications are open from the 1st to the 7th of every month.

Minority Veterans of America (MVA) is a non-partisan, 501(c)3 non-profit organization designed to create belonging and advance equity for underrepresented veterans, including womxn, people of color, LGBTQ, and religious minorities.
Founded in 2017 by Lindsay Church and Katherine Pratt, MVA aims to transform the narrative of the American veteran by building an interconnected community, fostering greater understanding of our memberships’ identities, and serving minority veterans through the development of targeted programming and advocacy.
Church and Pratt first began their work in 2014 through the Husky United Military Veterans where they built a Diversity Committee that celebrated the underrepresented groups within the student veteran community at the University of Washington.
MVA and its members are an intersectional movement of minority veterans and allies that represent the needs and spectrum of experiences of the minority veteran community, and have become a collective voice that is bigger, stronger, and more capable of fighting for change.
